The design of a hybrid/electric powered bus is presented including the specifications of the major components and drive train layout. Results of computer modelling on vehicle performance are presented for the hybrid/electric bus. In addition to the details of the hybrid/electric bus design and performance a description of the brassboard, the test fixture developed to allow the entire drive system be tested prior to installation in the bus, is presented.
