As a precision press-working technique, considerable development has been made in fineblanking technology to expand areas of application. High dimensional accuracy, and parts consistency and quality, are maintained. Part design possibilities are described with advantages for both single part functions and assemblies applications. The basic fineblanking process is explained, as well as advances in press and tooling techniques, which together further expand potential uses of the process.
