Elastic-plastic element calculations have been carried out to analyze automotive sheet forming processes. This paper reports on the simulation of the hemming and drawhead ones. The related numerical results are validated to assess the complexity and various kinds of phenomena that are encountered during forming. These results also show that the 'ITAS' code proposed here is potentially applicable to a wide variety of other complex boundary conditions.
