The following paper discusses Elastoflex TF foam, it's use in headliners and other non-load bearing automotive interior trim. Elastoflex TF foam's history and present use in Europe are reviewed. Raw materials, such as the thermoformable foam, reinforcements, and adhesives for this sandwich construction, are also discussed, along with processing parameters such as the foam manufacturing, sandwich lamination and thermoforming. The key physical properties and acoustics are shown on the included charts and tables. The total process and weight saving advantages are given.
