Duplex coated steels offers numerous property benefits to the automobile manufacturer. Chief amongst these are improvements in stone chip resistance and corrosion resistance. Duplex coating can be applied to coil steel, retaining their integrity during forming. Parts formed from such coated steels can be subsequently phosphated and painted as usual.
