The increasing need to optimize vehicle powertrain component design has resulted in continuous down sizing and weight reduction as well as in efficiency increase. As a side effect this has caused the magnification of driveline vibration phenomena which greatly affect vehicle noise and ride comfort. A system approach is established in order to simulate driveline dynamic behaviour using standard computer influence of the various parameters affecting system dynamic behaviour and to support experimental analysis.
