Waterjet cutting has become an accepted process for several applications. Background information on the equipment process, economics, advantages, and limitations is reviewed. Flexible automation and just-in-time manufacturing technologies are compatible with waterjet cutting's capabilities. The latest techniques of waterjet and hydrobrasive cutting of automotive composites are presented.
