The damping of a trunnion supported Space Shuttle payload, the Centaur G Prime upper stage launch vehicle, are measured using three different methods. The structuralsystem behaves nonlinearly and the damping values are found to be dependent on the response amplitude. The results of the damping mesurements are compared and their validities with respect to the coupled loads analysis are examined.
