The motion of the axles on the railway are mathematically modelled and analyzed considering the influence of various failures and nonlinearities to define the stability and the evaluation criterions. The main criterions are the continuously damaged tracks and the derailing of vehicles, caused by overreached lateral oscillatory motions and forces. Rectlinear and curvilinear motions are analyzed considering various excitatins and velocities to define the critical velocity and lateral motion. The results of the analysis can be used in the maintenance and usage of railways to decrease the velocity in the cases when the tracks are damaged by the heat or mechanical forces. (Jarc)
