The standardized experimental exhaust plume analysis procedure EPAP concerning the investigation of plume characteristics has been applicated to the small bipropellant thrusters MBB 5N, MBB 10N, Marquardt 22N, Aerojet 66N and additionally to the monopropellant thruster MBB-ERNO 5N. The measurements were performed in the HAMBURG test facility. The results concerning the transient behaviour of the thruster and the distribution of the exhaust plume flow fields are compiled and discussed. A comparison concerning essential properties of the various thrusters is given.
