The Boeing Cost/Benefits Analysis Methodology (C/BAM) was developed specifically to measure the impact of implementing new technologies, e.g. integrated information systems, into a manufacturing environment. It addresses the shortcomings of traditional methods by recognizing: the additional benefits derived from the implementation of complementing improvement technologies (synergism); the risks inherent in technology and human factors; and the need to verify results after implementation is complete (post audit). The Boeing C/BAM has been developed and refined to meet the requirements of the Air Force.
