This paper will review some of the design and performance aspects of SIMFAC, the Aft Crew Station Simulation Facility used in the design and verification of the CANADARM project. A brief review of the performance requirements and major features of EUROSIM will be included followed by a description of current plans for simulation facilities to support Canada's participation in the Space Station Project. In conclusion, a parallel will be drawn with the Crew Station Research and Development Facility (CSRDF) recently developed for the US Army as a design and evaluation tool for future helicopter designs. While the CSRDF is not intended for space related activities, the technology used and the workload and task evaluation facilities developed may serve as examples for space simulation design.
