The development of a portable liquid cooling system for a missile seeker section is described. The unique element of the cooling system is a flexible cooling jacket which wraps around the seeker housing. The scope of this paper includes a detailed description of the seeker design interfaces and requirements, cooling system design approach, cooling jacket design and fabrication, and thermal performance testing.
