Reports on an HF receiver for maritime use, which combines an analogue RF front end with a digitally implemented IF section performing the channel filtering, demodulation and automatic gain control (AGC). Four operation modes, AM, SSB, CW, and FSK, have been programmed, all of which are contained within a single Motorola DSP56001 integrated circuit.
