The authors consider problems connected with raising the efficiency of induction motors in electric drives of mass-produced mechanisms. It is suggested that criteria for evaluating energy efficiency be standardized, in particular, that evaluation of the efficiency of energy consumption be put into practice. Possible ways of developing mass methods of choosing motors with respect to power are shown, based on generalized loading criteria. Examples are given of the formation of elements of programme maintenance for VVT-IM systems in the operating stage.
