High-temperature gas flows (HGF) are extensively used in power engineering, metallurgy, and chemical industry. The development of measuring devices which facilitate control of the time and space characteristics of HGF in real time acquire special importance. Ultrasonic (US) methods of measurement have been applied for this purpose. However, further development of these methods and devices for measuring HGF temperatures has been limited by the absence of methods of ensuring their metrological provisions. The authors describe metrological investigation of ultrasonic thermometers for measuring the HGF temperature.
