The author describes the EXXOTEST MT 12 V intermittent-fault tracer and goes on to explain its use on a car's relay power supply circuit and transistorised ignition. The nature of the fault is signalled by the relative numbers of LEDs glowing continuously or flashing. Scope for the user to develop further applications with an accessory terminal box is discussed.
