A mathematical model for an induction traction drive was described. The electromagnetic processes in the self-excited current inverter with external switching capacitors are considered. The developed mathematical model of an induction traction drive permits computer calculation of transient and steady-state electromagnetic processes in the power converter for different operating conditions of the induction traction motor.
