The rapid advancement of technology in the field of image processing has created the opportunity for tactical forces to benefit from a multitude of modern IMINT capabilities (imagery intelligence). This opportunity should be exploited for the benefit of operational commanders in their decision making process. Lessons learned from application of this technology will benefit eventual fusion devices that will correlate intelligence and information from multiple sources. In the meantime, if the necessary equipment is provided by the appropriate services and agencies, immediate benefits will be available to tactical forces that choose to exploit these developments.
