Running at speeds up to 100 km/h, using laser scanning systems, electronic impulse sensors, video cameras and computers, CN's Trace Evaluation System (TEST) checks, analyses and reports on all aspects of CN's track geometry. The reports generated by TEST provide the railway's maintenance personnel with the information they need to evaluate track performance under a variety of load conditions.
