The Jaguar story illustrates just how hard a company has to work to rid itself of a reputation for poor quality. John Egan's turn-around of the company into today's success story is often held up to prove just what industry can do. But behind the hype and the many apocryphal stories there is good solid industrial reasoning. The article reports on this.
