The requirements for calibration of PEACEKEEPER factory and depot automated test equipment (ATE) are examined. Detailed discussions are presented of: the automated calibration system developed to support PEACEKEEPER ATE at both the factory and the depot; unique design features that make this system readily adaptable to a wide variety of other ATE and calibration applications; lessons learned during development of the system; anticipated issues in the development of US Air Force Modular-Automatic-Test-Equipment (MATE)-compatible automated calibration systems; and possible solutions utilizing concepts and techniques already developed for PEACEKEEPER.
