Static charging processes of low-conductivity liquid, handled in various ways, have previously been studied. Laboratory experiments were undertaken for the purpose of studying static charge of such liquid, caused by its agitation. Specific charging phenomena were observed from measurements of electrostatic potential of liquid surface and leakage current from vessel to ground. Experimental results obtained, electrostatic potential, charge density, and leakage current in the agitation of kerosene are presented.
