The US army space program is outlined and the accomplishments from 1985 to 1987 are described. These include the army space initiatives study (ASIS), the army space master plan (ASMP), the army space planning group (ASPG), the army tactical exploitation of national space capabilities (TENCAP), the military man in space program (MMIS), and the establishing of a skill code for space activities (SC3Y) to identify officers with space related qualifications.
