The paper presents a microprocessor-based digital controller for rocket flight stabilization. Selected autopilot transfer functions are calculated for a real rocket and digitized by bilinear transformation using a suitable sampling period. Digital control functions, obtained in the w-domain using the Bode frequency method, provide satisfactory gain and phase margins. The control functions are implemented on the CDP 1802 microprocessor running alongside a hardware multiplier. A detailed block diagram of the hardware and flowcharts of the control program are given, and hardware and software modules are described.
