The evaluation of adhesion factor (AF) of a car for any road surface is the necessary element for technical expert appraisal in traffic accident (TA) investigation. The known technique allows estimating only some range of possible AF values, which complicates objectivity of decision making in accident causes analysis. The suggested model in contrast to the known technique, allows to take into account all influencing factors registered in protocols, and to reduce the range of possible estimations, thus increasing objectivity of decision making. The satisfactory matching of the model with the experimental results allows recommending the obtained model as an alternative to the existing technique for practical use in TA examination.
