A new three phase ZCT voltage source inverter is proposed. The simulation results show that the circuit achieves zero current turn-off for all main and auxiliary switches and the voltage rating of the auxiliary switches is less than two-thirds of the DC-bus voltage. The charge balance of the input capacitors can be obtained by a low-power circuit. As a result, high efficiency can be achieved at high switching frequencies. Proposed topology can be used for medium and high power applications such as utility applications and hybrid electric cars.
