All measures of Munich-COMFORT are aiming at a comprehensive transportation management system, where the components in the future will not operate independently but will be networked in an intelligent system. As a basic prerequisite for this, first steps to an overall strategic data and service centre (SSC) with links to the different sub-systems has been developed and tested in first elements. The system consists of the Traffic Information Pool (TIP), which links the different sub-systems and manages the data exchange, and of the SCC, which realizes the harmonization of the systems with the help of integrated strategies/intervention plans (STRAMO - Strategy Module). For the further step of realization, a traffic monitoring tool has been developed, called NEMO (Network Monitoring), which serves the traffic situation monitor for the network from locally collected data.
