The brake-by-wire system opens the door to the brake of the 21st century with a host of new possibilities ranging from increasing safety during each single, normal driver-induced braking action up to automatic vehicle guidance in a future traffic concept. In order to accelerate this process, engineers must not only invent the systems and acquire customer projects, but they must also save money and resources by working together in an intelligent fashion to standardize brake-by-wire systems.
