Das Shuttle Remote Manipulator System (SRMS), ein ferngesteuerter Greifarm, der am orbitalen Space Shuttle angebracht ist, wird beschrieben. Der über 17 m lange Greifarm besteht aus 7 Drehgelenken. Der Greifarm dient zur Unterstützung bei Andock-Vorgängen sowie zur Aufnahme von Lasten. Ein Echtzeitsimulator für das SRMS wird vorgestellt. Das zugrundeliegende mathematische Modell sowie die Software-Struktur werden diskutiert.
