Electronic equipment in naval vessels is vulnerable to conducted and radiated interference from the vessels own installations and to electromagnetic radiations from external sources. This paper discusses the advantages taken of the screening inherent in ships of metallic construction and the additional precautions necessary with the new generations of G.R.P. vessels.
