The two complementary and highly successful heavyweight torpedoes Tigerfish and Spearfish are part of integrated submarine weapons systems. They are wire-guided during a search phase, and self-guided when homing onto the target with the use of advanced computers and software, and can be quickly updated to cope with changing threats and operational tactics.
