This paper deals with a digital multiplexed intra-aircraft communication system designed by GEC Sensors Ltd and capable of integrating digital voice with other digital data. This digital communications control system (DCCS) provides control of radios and the distribution, selection, isolation, coding, summation and amplfication of these audio signals. Improved speech intelligibility in high noise environments, reduced RF radiation, expanded nuclear survivability and standardization, are goals of the overall system.
