The Lines 15/18 project was designed using both conventional approximation methods and computer simulation/load flow methods for traction power system design. The objectives of the design criteria for the feederless trolley coach system were met as a result of the studies. A brief comparison of the two design approaches indicates that there are differences between their results due to changes in modern trolley coach system criteria. Updating the methodologies for electric trolley coach traction power systems design would be important material on which to base a future technical paper.
