The AN/APG-67 Multimode Radar development has been successfully completed with the use of a 'fly-fix-fly' program. This included flight testing by General Electric in a flying laboratory and by Northrop in the F-20. Extensive instrumentation in both test beds provided the data feedback necessary to evaluate and solve problems. At the completion of the program, a series of evaluation flights demonstrated that radar performance meets the specification requirements. Throughout the development program, the radar reliability has been carefully tracked and proves to be very close to the production reliability.
