DFVLR and IGN have organized a new test campaign at Montpellier (France) in June 1985 for preparing the next Spacelab flight. The aim of this new campaign was the test of Zeiss RMK cameras equipped with a forward motion compensation and Kodak emulsions of high definition but low sensitivity. In order to test a maximum of conditions which will be met by Spacelab, test flights have considered several parameters such as sun elevation and altitude of the aircraft in relation with V/H ratios. IGN-F contributes in data exploitation by a sensitometric study of the films in order to evaluate contrast, granularity and sensitivity of each emulsion and to determine resolving power for various incident angles.
