The new General Motors 2.0L LDE Euro 6 engine will be launched in 2015 with considerable improvements in NVH, fun to drive and fuel economy. It will be integrated into a wide range of vehicle applications including the Opel Insignia and Zafira Tourer. The development of new 2.0L LDE Euro 6 engine has been focused on consistent NVH improvements versus the previous 2.0L Euro 5 engine and the achievement of high torque density comparable to the 2.0L Euro 5 Bi-Turbo engine while meeting the Euro 6 emission standards and providing fuel economy improvements in a wide range of vehicle segments. The current and future market demands require more efficient and quieter diesel engines offering an appropriate level of fun to drive. The new 2.0L LDE Euro 6 engine perfectly meets these customer needs.
