This article summaries the ergonomics evaluation methods of cockpit lighting in aircrafts, aiming to reflect the general status in this domain. As for the evaluation methods, it is mostly that in the different design and development phases, basing on some standards, specifications, and technological files, the evaluation primes to lighting devices such as displays and lights, some instruments are applied to measure and test the luminance, illuminance, chromaticity, and NVIS radiance. Contact evaluation is of small proportion. Only in China, pilots’ objective integrated evaluation is applied to the cockpit lighting with civil aircrafts. Due to the task particularity of civil aircrafts, only safety and comfortability are evaluated.
