Part of the mechanism of automatic adjustment of cam-shaft BMW automobile engine, between cap and sprockets connected with four aluminum screws is the stator ring. Component was extruded from AlSi13Cu1 powder. Stator ring in the state after pressing and machining during service permanently changes its dimensions due to relaxation of material. Therefore, the profiles were heat-treated (480 °C/45 min + 185°C/30 min). The inclusion of heat treatment of profiles in the production process, however, increases the cost of the stator. Instead of heat treatment come into consideration the cheaper options - mechanical vibration to stabilize the dimensions. Experiments confirmed that the mechanical vibration can reduced deformation of the stator ring after loading on operating temperature to values that are obtained by heat treatment.
