The development of the Oberaigner 6x6 was supported by comprehensive simulations of vehicle dynamics and strength simulation. Critical locations of the frame and suspension components could be identified with the help of the simulations and eliminated. The vehicle dynamics behaviour was examined with MBS in a very early development stage and led to the approval of the concept and definition of the most important suspension parameters. Measurements during the off-road testing verified the basic assumptions of the simulations. This data is also of high interest for future projects and refined design criteria.
