This paper discusses the experimental investigation of an elasto-flexible morphing wing concept allowing extensive variation of the wing geometry. Due to the high compliance of the wing surface, the behavior of the wing is dominated by aero-elastic effects leading to unconventional aerodynamic features. In order to better understand the flow-structure interaction, PIV measurements in the wake of two wing configurations were performed for two wind speeds and two angles of attack. The results show that the wake flow effectively provide useful informations about phenomena happening on the wing itself. In particular, the circulation distribution computed from the measured 3D velocity field provides insight into the deformation mechanism of the wing surface.
