The design of road system, which serves as the connections of areas and scenic spots, in wetland parks is concerned with complex ecological problems for the special ecological environment there. The ecological protection and the natural environment conservation are the starting points of the design instead of linkage and convenience. The paper analyzes the most important natural and ecological factors of road design in wetland parks with focus on the differences from common city parks in road type selection, road system layout, road network density control, route selection and ecological creation to provide references for future road planning and design in wetland parks.
