The paper researches on the design of Battery Management System (BMS) used in parallel hybrid electric vehicles. After analyzing the function desired in BMS, the author confirms a digital standard to stand by in the after design. Using the software PRETEL and Code Composer Studio 3.3, the hardware and software design are carried out. The article mainly forces on the function of DSP TMS320F28335 produced by TI Company in order to use its several function models properly. At last, the experiments in laboratory and 4000 km road test provide enough evidences that the BMS is accurate and stead-going.
