For testing pressure of gas generator in safety airbag, a set of test device is built by North University of China. By this test device, the acceleration peak value and duration in collision instant can been controlled by changing lift height of inflator jar and elastic recoil object bearing on pedestal Pressure of gas generator in safety airbag can be tested. At the same time, adapter record the curve change of a-t and p-t. The testing data are close to that of BREED company of U.S.A. This device has been used to check the products quality of gas generators for a company in China. By this device, an analog signal similar to vehicle impact of acceleration peak value (900 plus/minus 100) m/s2 and duration time is within (10 plus/minus 5) ms can be obtained A lot of experiments have been done. It is indicated when the lift height of inflator pump of test device is from 275mm to 285mm, acceleration peak value is from 805m/s2 to 902 m/s2 and dash duration time is from 6ms to 8ms, which are in required range and can test pressure.
