In this work, we propose an automatic maneuver assessment system for radio-controlled aerobatic model helicopter competitions. The flight videos are processed to extract the helicopter so that we can estimate its flight path. The geometrical accuracy and the precision of the performed maneuver is measured in terms of maneuver penalty functions. The extracted trajectory is represented in terms of polynomials using an iterative algorithm. The quality scores of our maneuver assessment algorithm reflects the subjective quality judgments.
