4Wireless Communication Networks can be used as a flexible solution for any data transmission inside an aircraft cabin. This network supports the flexibility and individualization of the cabin appearance while the weight of the aircraft is decreased simultaneously. Self-organization procedures can be applied inside this network to make the data transmission system robust and even more flexible. This paper analyzes different multi-hop schemes for the radio channel access procedure and for the data aggregation structure. The multi-hop system proposal is compared with a single-hop master / slave approach. It turns out that both systems have nearly the same performance in an isolated aircraft cabin situation while the multi-hop approach has some advantages under interference conditions e.g. in an airport situation.
