A novel approach of optimization control based on Sequential Quadratic Programming (SQP) is suggested for aero engine. It is a global optimal method. There are two phases in every optimal step, termed long course optimization and short course optimization respectively. The objective functions were restructured based on long course optimization. And the short course optimization was carried out to correct the result. The optimal result was used for engine control. Aero engine acceleration control was simulated with using the globe optimization. The result indicated that the approach can solve the problem like the system with pure delay part and unmatched model which the general local optimization can not.
