BiHID projector unit and its application will probably become more and more frequented light source, implemented to the vehicles as basic version. Intent of this article isnt to give an exact guide line how to solve the issue of relation between BiHID projector unit and pedestrian protection but it shows possible ways and aspects of whole wide issue which we have to see as the undividable part of HDLP concept definition. Each design is an original and has its specifics. Therefore each solution has to be checked and optimized based on exact boundary condition but this prove that there is the way to achieve as good results as basic Halogen reflector version is able to achieve. Fixing concept is next significant aspect of impact behavior. At the moment there are several ways how to fix BiHID unit into the HDLP. In result it means that we have to work with optimized HDLP version and parallel to this we need to optimize BiHID unit itself to reach legislation limits. The lens is made of glass which itself we cant await any pedestrian compliant properties. It is rigid solid material with 'zero tolerance'. It means that if we want to reduce force peak and absorb energy smoothly we have to optimize Lens holder as the second part which is in contact with Impactor. Lens Holder can be made of several materials but it is necessary to have stiff enough and temperature resistant material to hold the Glass BiHID lens on its position through whole lifetime of the vehicle.
