Overhead presentation. LaserCUSING is a process developed by Hofmann Innovation Group AG that uses original materials, provides complete melting of the powder materials, therefore almost 100% density of the components; build rate: 2 x 10 cm3/h (depending on the density); partbuilding over night / weekend (unattended operation). The process technology was specially designed to process reactive powder materials (CE-certified, ATEX). The process is used for inserts for production moulds (Pre-production moulds (aluminum); Injection moulding and pressure die casting moulds (hot-work steels); Functional components (RP & RM) in automotive, medical and dental applications, machine and plant engineering and aerospace. In this presentation requirements and and manufacturing of an aeronautical application, a filling connector, is presented. Finally, quality control certification is discussed. LaserCUSING is certified according to the aircraft process DVS 2719 / DSV 2718 - Part 5.
