The current paper describes Ultrasonic Testing equipment dedicated to test and document results of components in the serial production of an Aircraft Components Production Plant. Special attention is taken to the test of complex parts, which used to be tested manually and are now integrated into the automated NDT-process. The equipment has Phased Array capabilities in simultaneous pulse/echo and through transmission technique. It is designed for both high throughput as well as inspection of complex contours by automated match of the sound field to accommodate the part contour. The system has been approved for the automated inspection of parts for the Airbus-family.
